Doreen M. Schwartz, 65, of Broad Street, Woonsocket, passed away on Saturday February 24th at the HopeHealth Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle F. (Nolin) Del Donno. She spent her childhood and formative years in Pawtucket, while her adult life was split between time in Providence & Woonsocket.
She was an Administrative Assistant for Patrick Conley, Esquire before retiring. She had also been a Manager for Gregg’s Restaurant in Providence for 27 years.
She loved all forms of classic cinema. In her youth she honed her skills as a pianist under the tutelage of her mother Estelle. She appreciated a wide range of music from R&B to Rock & Roll. From the time she was a child, she was a devoted fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics.
Doreen had many lifelong friends, and everyone who truly knew her loved her. An ideal day for her would be down at the beach, by the ocean, with good food, family, and friends.
She leaves her children, Ariana L. Schwartz and her husband Scott of North Smithfield and Alexander James “AJ” Schwartz and his wife Jenny of Woonsocket. She was the grandmother of Owen, Reese, Vivian and Llewyn. She also leaves her siblings, Dennis J. Del Donno and his wife Sue of Attleboro, Ma and Anna Maria Loiselle and her partner Jack Fitzgerald of Chepachet.
Her visitation will be held Monday March 4th from 4pm to 7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Her burial will be private. There will be a celebration of life event in her honor at a later date in the Spring.
