Steve J. Theodorakis, age 84, of Mansfield, formerly of North Easton, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 26, 2024.he was the loving companion of fifty-two years of Eugene N. Caterina, with whom he made his home.
Born in Cambridge, MA on November 4, 1939, he was a loving son of the late John and Stella (Nikas) Theodorakis.
Steve grew up in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston Public Schools. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past five years and was a member of Saint Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Mansfield.
A restaurant entrepreneur, Steve was the owner and operator of several dining establishments which included the former Franco’s Restaurant on Route 1 in Norwood. His passion in life was horse racing and throughout the years was the proud owner of many horses.
Steve cherished the wonderful memories of times spent amongst family and friends, especially entertaining them on his boat in Mashpee. He will always be remembered with a smile for his genuine kindness and hardworking ethics, and the special place he held in his heart for animals.
In addition to his companion Eugene, he was the dear brother of Georgia J. Fitzpatrick of West Roxbury and her late husband Edward “Lefty” Fitzpatrick, Andrew D. Theodorakis and his wife Judy of Falmouth and the late Cynthia Sparrow, He is also survived by several generations of adoring and devoted nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, March 4th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church, 1007 West Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
