Jean Marie Van Veghten (86) of Brockton died February 26th in the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Van Veghten Sr.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York daughter of the late Joseph Mazzio and Stella (Triola) Mazzio. Jean was a retired certified nurses assistant and enjoyed cooking and socializing with family and friends.
Jean is survived by 5 sons, Keith and Mike Van Veghten both of New York, Joseph Van Veghten of Pembroke, Kenneth Van Veghten Jr. of South Carolina and John Van Veghten of Florida, a daughter Diane M. Trieger of Brockton, (mother of the late Jimmy Van Veghten), 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday March 2nd from 6-9 pm. A Graveside Service will take place Monday March 4th at the Hudson View Cemetery, 6 S Street Mechanicville, New York at 11 am.
