Obituary

Mary Agnes (Donahue) Pinet, 76, a longtime resident of Bellingham, died peacefully on February 23, 2024, at The Enclave in Franklin. She was the wife of the late Robert (Bob) M. Pinet, who died in 2019.
She is survived by her children, Robert Pinet, Jr., his wife Jessica of St. Louis, Missouri, Martha Henry, and her husband Chris of Norfolk, and her siblings and their spouses, Michael Donahue, Maureen Creamer, and James Donahue of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
She was born on August 3, 1947, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, to Joseph and Carmel (O'Neill) Donahue and moved to Massachusetts with her husband after their marriage in 1968.
Mary was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a pillar of strength and unwavering support for her family and friends. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren: Jackson, Claire, Kate, and Susan. They were a great source of pride and joy; she was a very active part of their lives. She loved spending time with them, especially during trips to Canada and family vacations. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her, including her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
In her journey through life, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Vandenberghe, her parents, her beloved Aunt Kaye, and most recently by her husband, Bob, shortly after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
She was an active member of Saint Brendan's Church since moving to Bellingham in 1973, and throughout her retirement, she enjoyed and supported the Bellingham Senior Center.
As we mourn the loss of Mary, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on all those around her. A memorial service and burial will be held in July at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband. Following this, her children will host a gathering to celebrate her life with family and friends from near and far.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Bellingham Senior Center, 40 Blackstone Street, Bellingham 02019.
Arrangements under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
