Nellie Carol Sutton, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, went to be with Jesus Friday, February 23, 2024, at Phoebe Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, February 26, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with her son David Breyfogle officiating. The interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Sutton was born January 18, 1953, in Polk County Florida, to the late Hoyt and Daisy Knighten West. She loved her family, and was known as a woman of faith that loved her Lord, and she was a teacher of kindness and love. She was loved by all that knew her. She loved working in her flowers, and was a jack of all trades including carpentry and her excellent cooking. Her most enjoyable hobby was shopping.
She is survived by her children: Curtis Steven Sutton & Kenya Childes, Malina Cecilia Sutton Breyfogle & David, and Rebecca Michelle Sutton; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother: Travis West; and a sister: Vinnie Mccoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Bennett Sutton; a son Joseph Bennett Sutton; and a grandson, Christopher Scott Sutton.
