Hara was born on the island of Crete in Greece where she was married and started her family. In 1962 she moved to the city of Athens where she resided for the next 10 years before immigrating to United States. She was the best mom, wife and a treasured and beloved grandmother.
She was a woman with the Midas touch….she turned her hobbies into professions. She loved to make her own clothes and the city of Athens became her runway. She would literally stop traffic with her radiant smile and beauty. She amassed a group of private clients that ranged from the average person, to individuals in the entertainment industry. Just as she was ready to open up a store downtown Athens, she decided to join two of her sisters that already lived in the USA. Here she eventually turned her second hobby for her love of cooking into her new venture. Always fearless, she opened her first restaurant with her husband in New Hampshire and then in Massachusetts. She filled our homes with her laughter, love and grace. Her grandchildren will never forget their vacations overseas with her, as well as her weekly homemade breads and dishes that she made for them until her early 80’s. She was God’s love to all of us and gave more than anyone could ask for. Her smile, love and humor was constant in our lives and will remain eternal in our hearts.
