Marc L. “ML” Gagnon, 72 of Bedford died on February 18, 2024 with his loving wife by his side. Marc was born in Nashua on May 23, 1951 the son of Adelard Gagnon and Anita (Heroux) Gagnon.
Marc grew up and attended school in NH. He graduated from Bishop Bradley 1969, RETS Electronics School then served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a computer hardware engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation for many years. Upon retiring from the computer world, Marc worked for Eversource as a construction liaison.
Marc was the kind of man who could fix anything. He was often referred to as “the original MacGyver” and constantly impressed people with his ability to problem solve just about anything he put his mind to. When he wasn’t working or tinkering with things, Marc found solace fly fishing and spending time outdoors at his camp on Lake Francis. He was gentle and kind, quick-witted and very hardworking. Marc’s smile and infectious presence will be missed by all who knew him.
Marc was married to his childhood sweetheart and love of his life of 51 years, Diane C. (Thomas) Gagnon of Bedford. Marc will always be Diane’s “knight in shining armor” and their love will shine forever in the lives of all those they touched.
In addition to his wife, Marc is survived by his beloved sister, Claire (Gagnon) Belisle and her Husband Roger of NH and his brothers; Maurice Gagnon and wife Elaine of FL, George Gagnon and wife Debbie of ME, Ernest Gagnon of NH, Victor Gagnon and wife Sue of PA and Louis Gagnon and wife Cathy VA, and his nieces; Gerilyn, Holly, Ashley, Stacey, Anita, Caylyn, Kasey, Amanda, Samantha, Amber, Amy and his nephews; Jeffrey, Matthew, Brett, Brian, Seth, Carey, Joey, David, Keith, Kyle, Brandon, Tarek, Ethan, Noah, Roman, Eric. He will also be deeply missed by several great nieces, great nephews and several god children, his in-law family members, Pam and Mike Letendre, Patricia Abdelkarim, Toufic Abdelkarim, David and Annie Thomas and Peter Thomas, as well as his dearest friends: Victor and Madeleine Paul, Dede MacLeod, Ida and Peter Doolan.
Marc was predeceased by his parents, Adelard and Anita (Heroux) Gagnon, his brother Paul Gagnon and his sisters-in law, Daria Gagnon and Helen Gagnon.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 27, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral home, 110 Bridge St, Manchester. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on February 28, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Burial with military honors will follow 12:00 PM, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen. Celebration of Life Luncheon will follow at the Puritan Backroom, 245 Hooksett Rd, Manchester.
