Alice A. Mullen, 67, died February 20, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 5, 1956 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Francis and Patricia (Sheehan) Pince and grew up in Oradell, NJ.
She graduated from the University of NH in 1978 and received her master’s from Stony Brook University in 1985, which led to her career as a registered dietician and her work with UNH Cooperative Extension teaching food safety throughout the state.
She dedicated her life to serving her community. She was a Deacon at the Union Congregational Church of Hebron and volunteered at the Hebron Church Fair baking her famous blueberry pies. She was volunteer of the year in 2013 for Girls Inc. of NH, and created quilts for the Circle Program and Quilts of Valor. She was a member of the Amoskeag Quilters Guild, as well as the Newfound Lake Region Association.
She judged the canned goods category at the Deerfield Fair, always with a keen eye for perfection. She loved picking blueberries, gardening, skiing, sailing and golfing with her husband.
Family members include her loving husband of 43 years, Kevin J. Mullen of Hooksett, one son; Casey Mullen and his wife, Julianna of Pembroke, one daughter; Kelly Andreae and her husband Chas of Arlington, VA., four grandchildren; Charlie Andreae, Claire Andreae, Connor Mullen and Hailey Mullen.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7th at 11 am in the Union Congregational Church of Hebron, 16 Church Lane, Hebron NH.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 8th at 12 noon at Intervale Country Club, 1491 Front St, Manchester NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice’s name to Girls Inc. of NH, 1711 South Willow St, Suite 5, Manchester NH 03103, or to the Circle Program, 85 Main St., Plymouth NH 03264.
