BAILLARGEON, Charles Edward of South Yarmouth, MA passed away at the age of 87 on Saturday February 17, 2024. Predeceased by his parents, Charles Edward and Lorretta (Doyer) Baillargeon of Bristol, CT., and his three brothers, Paul Baillargeon of Burlington, CT., Thomas Baillargeon of Bristol, CT., and James Baillargeon of Westerly, RI. Charles is survived by his three children, Karen MulCahy and her husband, Joseph MulCahy of Norton, MA., Susan Younis and her husband, Steven Younis of Franklin, MA., and Christopher Baillargeon and his wife Shirley Baillargeon of Bristol, CT., his sister-in-law Joan Baillargeon of Plymouth, CT., 2 nephews, treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his love and best friend of 23 years, Teresa Borrello of Harwichport, MA.
Charles was born and raised in Bristol CT. Shortly after graduation from Bristol High School, Charles served 2-years in the US Army during the Korean War. Charles attended and graduated from Wentworth Institute (associate’s degree – engineering), Northeastern University (bachelor’s degree – education) and Boston State/Bridgewater State College (master’s degree – administration/education) and raised his family for the next 20 years in Needham, MA.
Settling on the Cape after 37 years of public-school education in Quincy Public Schools, Charles initially worked part-time giving tours on Nantucket for Hy-Line Cruises and later driving for Enterprise Car-Rental.
Funeral Services will be held at Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church, 5 Barbara Street, South Yarmouth, MA. at 11:00AM on March 9, 2024.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
