Christopher S. Barbee, 54 died February 19, 2024 at Elliot Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Indianapolis, IN., September 21, 1969 the son of the late Ronald K. Barbee and Linda J. (Matthews) Barbee.
He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN., attended Triton College in Chicago, IL., and earned his Bachelor’s degree from UMASS Amherst. He then received his Masters degree from New England College.
He played football for both Triton College and UMASS Amherst. He played semi pro football for the Lafayette Generals in Indiana.
He was an educator in the Manchester school system and also worked as a home health aide for Granite State Compassion. He held membership of the Teachers Union.
He was very fond of his two cats; Thurston and Lovey.
Family members include, his mother Linda Barbee of Indianapolis, IN, his two sons; Kellan C. Barbee, and Nicholas G. Barbee both of Manchester, his long-time girlfriend, Kristine Bodwell of Nashua, and his brothers; Anthony M. Barbee (Holly) of Mount Pleasant, MI, and Jason D. Barbee of Indianapolis, IN. He also leaves his paternal grandmother Roger Lee “Honey” Williams, his maternal aunt, Jennie Mathews, his nieces and nephews, Hayden, Andrew, Bryson, Brooklyn, Leilah, and cousins; Haylie, Rachel and Kayla.
Calling Hours will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.
