Victor A. Clemente, of Medford, formerly of Everett, passed away on Saturday, February 17th. He was 97. Born in Boston, he was the cherished son of the late Antonio and Maria (Marino) Clemente. Victor enlisted into the United States Navy serving during WWII and was honorably discharged in July 1946. Victor had a long prosperous career as an Everett Fire Fighter. He split his time at the Central House, Hancock St. and Ferry St., stations. Victor retired as a lieutenant in 1986.
Victor was a dedicated member of the Night Owl Bowling League and the FD Bowling League. He enjoyed cooking; he was famous for his homemade pasta, sauce and made the best meatballs. Victor’s passion was baking all of his confectionary masterpieces were made from scratch they were absolutely delicious especially his cheesecake and bread. Victor was the biggest Boston Red Sox fan and watched as many games as he could. Victor was a dedicated husband, the best dad and step dad, a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather, a loving brother and a good friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
Victor was the beloved husband of the late Tina (Genovese) Clemente. He was the devoted father of Anthony Clemente of Wilmington, Karen Sullivan and her husband William of Wilmington. He was the loving Stepfather of Anthony Luongo and his wife Sandra of Everett, Phyllis Forsyth and her husband William of Marshfield, and the late Carmen Luongo. He was the caring grandfather of 4 grandchildren and great grandfather of 4 great grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Jack Clemente of Medford, Philip Clemente and his late wife Clara of Medford, and the late Vita Reagan and her surviving husband Bill of Burlington.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Victor’s family on Tuesday, February 27th, at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home from 9 AM to 11AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
