DUDLEY – Alice A. (Forand) Moninski, 88, died Monday, February 19, 2024 in the presence of her family.
She leaves 4 sons, David A. J. Moninski of MA, USAF Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Anthony D. Moninski and his wife Iliana of TX, Ronald A. J. Moninski with whom she lived, and Paul A. J. Moninski and his partner Brenda Souza of CT; 4 grandchildren, Isabella, Benjamin and twins Nicolas and Natalie; a godchild, Kathi Lauzon; several nieces and nephews including Debbie, Cindy and Ronnie Bembenek; and good friends Rose Smoolca and Anne Bembenek. She was preceded in death by her brother Francis Niemiec.
She was born on December 21, 1935 in Webster, the daughter of Omer and Helen (Bembenek) Forand and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1953. She had lived in Dudley since 1949.
Mrs. Moninski was a lens inspector at Gentex Corp. for 10 years. She then worked at the Polini Bakery in Worcester for 10 years. She retired at age 79 as an order selector at Staples in Putnam, CT after 15 years of service.
She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church and previously of Saint Andrew Bobola Church, where she belonged to the former Holy Rosary Sodality and was a certified CCD teacher. She was in charge of the church’s first parish festival in the 1970’s and volunteered for many years at parish events. She could be seen sitting in the first pew at the weekend Saturday 4:00 PM Mass.
Alice enjoyed landscaping and gardening, taking care of her flowers, and sewing and baking. She kept close to her children and especially enjoyed entertaining her grandchildren. She devoted her life to her family.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 2, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be held privately. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home, prior to the Mass.
