Rafael Ravelo, age 75, of Somerville passed away on Tuesday, February 13th. Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Rafael Cuello and Mercedes Ravelo. For many years, Rafael owned and operated an automotive sales and repair company located in Medford.
Rafael was the beloved husband of Ramona A. (Peguero) Ravelo, and the devoted father of Rafael Ravelo, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, Paul Ravelo and his wife Jamila, Jeff Ravelo and his wife Omira, Olympio Ravelo and his fiancée Wendy, and the late Joselyn Ravelo and her surviving husband Wayne. He was the loving grandfather of Brandel, Lydice, Jade, Brent, Leana, Danielle, Loyal, Rafael, Cayden, Olyvia, Oly, and the late Jeff, Jr. He is also survived by his dear sister Milagros Ortiz.
A funeral service will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, February 24th at 2 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 11 AM through 2 PM. Interment will take place in the Dominican Republic.
