It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Gail F. (Duggan) Joyce, 76, on Thursday, February 15th. Born on March 12th, 1947 in South Boston to Beverly (Cuddahy) Sandri and Bernard Duggan. She graduated from South Boston High School and was on the drill team for The Gatesman. She had lived in Quincy for over 40 years.
She loved meeting new people throughout her career in the service industry, always with a smile and a laugh. Her career brought her to obtain credentials as a Merchant Marine to work on cruise ships when most of her colleagues were retiring. Her true joy and pride came from her 3 sons and her 3 grandchildren. Always their biggest supporter and cheerleader, her impact on their lives and love for them will be her legacy.
She is survived by her loving sons, Jackie and his wife Michelle of Winthrop, Dennis and his fiancee Michelle of Easton, and Timothy and his wife Genevieve of Whitman, loving grandchildren Timothy, Jordyn and Aaryn Joyce, dear sisters Beverly Kelley, Tina Sandri (predeceased), Eleanor Boudreau, Karen Morrissey and Donna Sandri, Julie Canino, Lorraine Sinkus and a host of beloved step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Friday Feb 23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
