Valarie Louder June 9, 1945 - February 9, 2024
Valarie Louder, born on June 9, 1945, in Germany, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 9, 2024, in Bristol, CT. She was the beloved
daughter of Mary and Bronislaw Karol, and the cherished sister of Agnes (Jack) Schultz, MaryAnn (Tom) Bryda, and Bernie (Franny) Karol.
Valarie, along with her family, emigrated to the United States when she was just 5 years old, arriving with only one trunk of belongings. Their decision to come to America after the war marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Karol family. They settled in Connecticut, where her parents found work in a factory, laying the foundation for a life of opportunity and growth. Growing up in Terryville, Connecticut, Valarie faced the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture. Despite the initial language barrier, she learned to speak English fluently, a testament to her determination and resilience.
Valarie Louder was a devoted wife to Don Louder and a loving mother to Lori (Steve) Ettel and Cheri (Durand)Tessier. She is survived by her grandchildren Kaitrin (Marcus) Maidelis, Abbey (Curt) Sparks, Joshua Tessier, Nathan Ettel, Jonah Ettel, Karoline Ettel,
and great-grandchildren Peter Maidelis, Isaiah Sparks, Isabella Sparks, Ezra Sparks, Micah Sparks, Shawn Tessier, Audrey Tessier and Kinsley Tessier. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and
especially the newest generation of great-grandchildren. Valarie had a circle of treasured friends she affectionately referred to as her & quote, pool peeps. "e.
Valarie was a person of deep faith who found strength and comfort in her relationship with Jesus Christ and her church community. Her unwavering faith was a source of inspiration to those around her. In her professional life, Valarie worked various roles, starting as a waitress at Cozy Corner during high school. She then ventured into the field of data entry at the Bank Computer Center, worked as a computer operator at OZ Gedney and Siemens Company, and contributed as a medical coder at UCONN Health Center. Her hobbies included reading Nicholas Sparks books and passionately following basketball. Valarie was a dedicated fan of the UCONN men's and women's teams and the Golden State Warriors. Join us for Valarie's celebration of life on March 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at Graceway Church, 9 Grainger Way in Plainville, Connecticut.
Valarie’s favorite charities were St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and World Vision should you choose to donate.
