David Mattos, 55, of Somerset, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Melanie A. (Manchester) Mattos.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Frank V. and Arlene M. (Souto) Mattos, he was a lifelong resident of Somerset. He was a diesel mechanic for Road Safe in Halifax, MA. David enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, playing pool, traveling and playing cornhole, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved his dogs: Scrappy, Rocco and Jack.
Including his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Jada L. Mattos of Somerset and Courtney D. Mattos of Somerset; a brother: Frank M. Mattos of Somerset; and 2 nephews: Nick Mattos and Evan Mattos.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
