Obituary

Kevin B. Hayes, age 58, of Brockton, formerly of South Boston, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 after an extended and courageous battle with brain cancer (Glioblastoma).

Born in Boston and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Thomas Michael Hayes and Rose M. (Hayes) Leonard.

He was always the life of every party and the King of “Simon Says.” There wasn’t a person that he couldn’t make laugh. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, he loved history and was proud of his Irish heritage. A family man at heart, he will always be remembered as loving Father, Brother, and Uncle.

Kevin is survived by his son, Kevin Hayes, Jr. of Middleboro; his siblings, Theresa R. Cherry and her husband Jack of South Boston, Thomas Hayes, Jr. of Brockton, Pamela R. Madonna of Sandwich, Francis J. Hayes of Brockton, Nora A. Risti and her husband Ernest of Bridgewater, NJ, Wendy M. Willis of Florida and the late Michael T. Hayes; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous friends who he loved dearly.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 9:30 am, for a 10:30 am, funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton. Interment will be held at a later date in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
