Worcester: Daniel F. Cutroni, 80, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 57 years Phyllis L. (Sclamo) Cutroni; 2 daughters- Danielle Cutroni of Worcester and Angela Alves of Worcester; 2 grandsons- Anthony and Samuel Alves; brothers William Cutroni and his wife Carol of Paxton, Raymond Cutroni and his wife Sharlene of Worcester, Paul Cutroni and his wife Lori of Holden; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Ronald Cutroni.
Dan was born in Worcester, son of the late William and Angelina (Nitti) Cutroni. He graduated from North High School and earned his Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Central New England College. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He worked as a draftsman for Morgan Construction and Riley Stoker. He also worked at Spag's part time. He was a member of the Paxton Senior Center. He was a Red Sox Fan. He enjoyed bowling, playing pitch, woodworking, going to Foxwoods, watching his grandson’s football and baseball games, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Dan was an amazing husband, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. He was the most kindhearted, sweet man who loved his family and friends unconditionally. Dan will be missed by everyone who knew him.
The family wanted to give a special thank you to the JHC Hospice Nurse, Shannon, and CNA, Tina. These two woman were so kind, big hearted and thoughtful, they took such great care of Dan and were so nice to the whole family. Our family really appreciates all you did for my husband, my dad, my brother, and my uncle.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
