UXBRIDGE____Yolanda Milagro (Lozada) Smith, 55, of Uxbridge passed away Friday, February 16, 2024 in Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation, Whitinsville. Her husband, Coleman Gibson predeceased her.
Yolanda is survived by her children, Stevenson Newkirk, Elizabeth Newkirk, Jazmi Smith, Serena Clemons and her husband, Talmadge and Vera Smith, 17 grandchildren, her brothers, Roberto Lozada, Juan Lozada, Gregg Strozier and his spouse, Ken and Chris Strozier as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shelia Santiago. Yolanda was born in the Bronx, New York, a daughter of Ismael Santiago and Ella (Beam) Santiago – Hayes and lived most of her life in South Carolina before moving to Massachusetts.
Yolanda loved to cook and was a professional chef and owner of several restaurants. In addition to cooking her hobbies included listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an amazing grandmother and was very close with her brothers. Yolanda loved butterflies and her favorite color was purple.
