CHICOPEE – David J. Beauregard, 66, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on June 21, 1957, a beloved son of Theodore J. Beauregard of Chicopee and the late Muriel M (Dupont) Beauregard who was Called Home on April 20, 2011. He was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke High School in 1975 and had moved to Chicopee in 1983 where he lived the remainder of his life. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Corporal. He later went on to serve in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was employed as a mail handler for over 30 years and had worked at the Holyoke and Springfield Bulk Mail Centers. He was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church and a member of the Fairview Council 4044 Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 275 and the Tigers Athletic Club, all in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking and camping. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Lisa A. (Croteau) Beauregard. They were married on June 5, 1982 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 41 years of happiness together. He also leaves his three loving children, David J. Beauregard, Jr. and his wife, Leslie, of Holyoke, Nicole L. Boissonneault and her husband, Adam, of Granby and Kathleen M. Beauregard and her partner, Jeffrey DiRico, of Chicopee; his eight cherished grandchildren, Jack and Luke Beauregard, Owen, Emmett, Wyatt and Elijah Boissonneault and Adelyn and Natalie DiRico; his four dear brothers, Allan Beauregard and his wife, Joanne, of Belchertown, Roger Beauregard and his partner, Joan Gloster, of Hadley, Michael Beauregard and his wife, Diane, of Ludlow and Stephen Beauregard of Chicopee; his dear two brothers in law and three sisters in laws, Brother Roger Croteau, CSC of San Antonio, TX, Jacqueline Leclair of West Springfield, Janet Chelli and her husband, Robert, of Westfield, Suzanne Goulet and her husband, Roger, of Chicopee and Mark Croteau and his husband, Peter Clark, of Arvada, CO; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his dear brother in law, Alfred Leclair. His Funeral will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial with United States Air Force Military Honors will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
