Rouleau and his wife, Rene and her granddaughter Helena of Ashland, MA; two sisters, Patricia “Daisy,” Monahan of Worcester and Ruth C. “Pixie,” Monahan of Merrimack, MA; along with many nieces and nephews. Kathy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward W. and Ruth C. (Grady) Monahan and is also predeceased by a brother, Edward W. Monahan Jr. and a sister, Maureen A. Berlin.
Mrs. Rouleau graduated from the former Saint Peter’s High School and worked her entire career in the banking industry. She was actively involved in volunteer work for local youth schools and sports as well as volunteering to welcome voters at the polls at the Greendale Fire Station at election time.
Kathy was an enthusiast of the arts. She loved music, enjoyed singing in the glee club and was an avid reader. She attended many theater productions and loved to cook and entertain especially when it was time for holiday celebrations. Traveling was a passion that included many international trips including a visit to Ireland, where she had the intestinal fortitude to kiss the Blarney Stone, something her husband and son could not attest to. A special fondness was had for winter retreats to Florida that extended through Red Sox Spring Training and summertime at Camp Ellis and Ogunquit, Maine where many wonderful memories were shared with family and friends. Her positive and kind spirit was felt by all that called her a wife, mother, sister, aunt or friend.
