Maria Rosa (Giambarresi) Annaloro passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was 90. Born and raised in Riesi, Sicily, Italy she was the daughter of the late Giancarlo and Giuseppina (Bevilacqua) Giambarresi.
Maria came to the United States with her family when she was 17 and settled in Medford. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard working woman who desired the best for her loved ones. Full of energy, she balanced a successful career in the garment industry with raising a wonderful family and showering them with all that they truly needed. During her years in Boston’s vibrant Garment District she worked as a seamstress and because of her fine attention to detail she rose to being a floor lady and then would often help design sample garments for some of the area’s finest retailers, including Talbots and Cherry & Webb. At home her love and devotion were in abundance. She kept a beautiful garden, full of roses and abundant in vegetables. She cooked delicious meals for her family and kept all of the generations of her family together, especially on Sundays and holidays. At celebrations with extended family and friends she loved to dance and share wonderful times together. She made special outfits and clothes for her family. She also loved to knit and made sure everyone got their knitted baby booties.
The beloved wife of Antonino Annaloro, she was a devoted mother to Joanne Lena, Angelo Correnti and his wife Karen, Marie Annaloro, and JoJo Komorny, her late husband Keith Komorny and her fiance’ Dino Stigliano, all of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to Danielle Correnti, Nicole Hallahan, Anthony Correnti, Gianna Komorny, and Gabriella Komorny. She was a loving great-grandmother to Hannah Correnti, Mikayla Hallahan, Nicolas Correnti and Isabella Hallahan. Maria Rosa was predeceased by her brother Giancarlo Giambarresi and leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
