Dennis A. Wiley, 70, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Pruitt Health Nursing Facility in Ocilla. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Wiley at a later date.
Born October 24, 1953, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Mr. Wiley was the son of the late Claude Wiley and Margaret Coleman Wiley. He graduated from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, South Carolina and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors of Zoology and a Masters of Science in Entomology. He worked in agricultural chemical sales for Shell Chemical Company and then DuPont when they acquired Shell’s agricultural chemical division.
Dennis was an avid fan of Clemson University sports, especially football. He bled Orange and his favorite times were spent in Death Valley. He loved the beach, music, traveling, and he was a lover of food. His daughter and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he loved them very much. He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton.
Mr. Wiley is survived by one daughter, Margaret Anne Brock of Tifton; and three grandchildren, Bailey Brock, Harper Brock and Finley Brock.
