Janet C. DeCarolis, 79, formerly of Londonderry, NH died Tuesday February 13, 2024 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 1, 1945, a daughter of the late George MacLaren and Edna Mae (Spencer) MacLaren. Janet had resided in Londonderry for more than 40 years.
Janet was a graduate of New England Sanitarium and Nursing Hospital in 1965. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for several years before raising her four children. She was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, enjoyed walking the family dog, and was a champion wild blueberry picker. Her culinary skills were enjoyed by her rather large family and her homemade Manicotti was requested often. She was a skilled letter writer and generous giver of gifts from the heart.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Philip DeCarolis of Londonderry, two sons, David DeCarolis and his wife Kim of Litchfield, NH, and Christopher DeCarolis and his wife Rachel of Salem, NH, one daughter, CarolAnn Braun and her husband Steven of Calabasas, CA, six grandchildren, Kendra, Hope, Logan, Beckett, Norah, and Lark, one brother, Ronald MacLaren and his wife Donna of Londonderry, one sister, Barbara Searles and her husband Craig of Moultonborough, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Eric DeCarolis in 2011.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday February 19, 2024 from 3 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm in the funeral home.
