Francine G. Belisle, age 69, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Born in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Laurette (Dutil) Belisle.
In 1965, Francine moved with her family to Springfield, MA where she resided until her 30’s. She later moved to Rockland in the 80’s and it became her home for many decades. Most recently Fran moved in with her daughter and granddaughter in 2020 which tightened their bond even more.
She attended Springfield Community College. Fran worked in Data Services at Boston Financial for over 15 years. She almost always kept a part-time job as a bartender at various establishments from Springfield in her younger years, to Abington when she moved into the area: The Cellar, and The Town House (now known as Lynch’s Tavern) just to name a couple. She met so many people working as a bartender over the years. Some would become her best friends and chosen “family”. She would come to be affectionately known as “Fran-Tastic” and will be missed by all who knew her.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was 1 of 8 and spent a lot of time with her brothers and sisters, from the younger years at Lake Lorraine to trips to Laconia and all-over Mass. Each one of her family and friends could tell you a story of an escapade they had with her. She loved music, dancing, karaoke, hanging out at the beach or taking a drive.
Fran was very proud of her daughter Angelique and the woman she has become but was even more proud of Sabrina. The day Sabrina graduated from college was one of the proudest days of her life and she made sure it was known.
Fran was an amazing Mémé to her granddaughter Sabrina. Once Sabrina was born, she spent so much of her time with her. They had a strong relationship and were lucky to be able to spend lots of time together. Sabrina was her pride and joy and loved her more than she could ever truly explain in words.
In 2021, Ma “Belle” Amie (Jr), the new family dog, was added. They spent lots of time together and had developed a very special bond.
“I love you more!”
She is survived by her daughter Angelique Belisle and her companion James Dunn of Brockton; granddaughter, Sabrina Gail Heney; siblings, Claire Katalina of Springfield, Andre Belisle of Stanstead, Quebec, Raymond Belisle and his wife Wendy of Ludlow, and Normand Belisle of Ludlow; a nephew Justin Katalina of Springfield; and nieces Danielle Belisle of Ludlow and Janet Belisle of Stanstead, Quebec.
Francine was preceded in death not only by her parents but by siblings Gaeton Belisle, Robert Belisle and Josee Langlois (Belisle).
A celebration of Francine’s life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2:30 to 5:30pm, with a funeral service beginning at 5:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
