Carol Johnson Tucker, 67, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with Larry Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Tucker was born November 18, 1956, to the late Neil & Edna Johnson. Mrs. Tucker worked many years for the Irwin County Elementary School lunchroom where she loved all the kids. She loved and had many animals, including ducks, geese and chickens. She loved her grandchildren, fishing, hunting and she was an avid Snoopy collector and NASCAR fan. She loved to crochet, and made many blankets for teachers and staff, and for family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lamar Tucker of Irwin County; two children: John Randolph Tucker & Amanda Sage-Morris and Rebekah Tucker Hines & Melvin, III; six grandchildren: Melvin Hines IV, Hunter Hines, Faith Tucker, Fallon Tucker, Maddie Morris and Lee Morris; two sisters: Lynne Johnson and Karen Johnson; and her dog, Lady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Johnson and her pet raccoon, Rosie.
Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla, is in charge of arrangements.
