HILLSBORO ---- Robert “Bob” Morris, 61, of Poverty Plains Road, died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Dartmouth Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
Bob was born March 19, 1962, in Framingham, MA, the fifth child of William and Rita (Flynn) Morris.
He grew up in a family of 10 children and was raised in Antrim, NH. As an adult, he moved to California where he spent many years and it was there, he welcomed the biggest blessing of his life, Jessie Lou Morris. He eventually made his way back to the east coast and resided in Hillsboro but continued to frequent California.
As a child, Bob’s family enjoyed spending summers camping at Cape Neddick Campground in York Beach, ME. He continued camping there throughout his life and valued the friendships he fostered with the seasonal campers and residents.
Bob was a carpenter by trade and in his free time he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with those he loved including his family and longtime dear friend, Debby Macukewicz. During his years as a carpenter, and of all the projects he worked on, the one that brought him the most joy was the hobbyhorse he made for his daughter Jessie.
Bob’s greatest attribute was his big heart and his ability to love deeply. He was always willing to help anyone in need and did whatever he could for others. In his last years he enjoyed spending time with his mother and being there for her was his highest priority. In his own words, “I love you, Mom. You are now, and always have been, the steppingstone that has led me to the rock where I now stand.”
Rest easy you crazy Mongoose.
