Obituary

Leslie Eric Bordynoski 65, of Prosser died on January 10, 2024 and he went “Off to see the Wizard.” His favorite movie was the Wizard of Oz and often said that is where he would be going when he died.
He was born in Ellensburg, WA on February 18, 1958 to Joe and Marlene (Hayes) Bordynoski. Eric was raised and educated in Pasco. After graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and helped get troops out of Vietnam at the end of the war. He then attended Western Washington University. Eric married Sherri Clark on September 4, 1993 in Kelso, WA and the couple made their home in Prosser in 2010.
Eric worked as a long-haul trucker for many years. He began working for LTI of Sunnyside in 2007 as a dispatcher for the business until his retirement in 2021. He will be missed by his work-wife, Barb along with other friends and colleagues of LTI.
Eric enjoyed playing golf, was a history buff, avid reader and book collector.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-years, Sherri and his great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Mitchell all of Prosser; daughter, Mandi Marquez of Vancouver, WA and son, Hunter Shepherd of Bainbridge Island, WA; his grandchildren, Renelle Finley and Daniecea Finley; and great grandchildren, Aaliyah Mitchell, Omari Mitchell and Olivia Finley. He is also survived by his mother, Marlene Bordynoski-Eslinger of Kennewick; his brother, Joey Bordynoski of Pasco; and his aunt Joyce and uncle John Burrus of Pasco. He was preceded in death by his father and great-grandson, Cameron Mitchell.
