FRANKLIN ---- Barbara Jean Leonard, 76, of Franklin, NH, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Forestview Manor in
Meredith, NH.
Barbara was born August 18, 1947, in Warwick, MA, the daughter of Harold Calcari and Edith (Major) Calcari.
Barbara was raised in a tiny little one-bedroom house with her siblings where she loved to escape to the forest and the tiny creatures. She loved the sounds of frogs at night and would smile when she spoke of them, calling them “peepers”. Her high school yearbook said, “Always lively and full of fun, she’s a friend to everyone.” Barbara loved music, singing, dancing, cooking, and having fun with her children. She loved the ocean and shared this infectious love with her children. She spent many years living on Webster Lake in Franklin,, where she loved being so close to the water. She truly lived her life to the fullest.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Morris; a son, Jeff Leonard; two brothers, Jake Calcari and Pete Calcari; two sisters, Arline and Marion; five grandchildren, Abby, Aidan, Alina, Phoenix, and Kahlia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, February, 21, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
