Joan C. (Armington) Vangel, of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Victor Vangel. Devoted mother of the late Victor Vangel, Jr. Dear sister of Lois Macintyre of North Attleboro, Alma Sullivan of Walpole, Connie Carpenter of Roslindale, and Roseann Vangel Murphy of Westwood. Loving grandmother of Victor Vangel, III, Kelsey Vangel of Hyde Park, and the late Kenneth Vangel. Great grandmother of Janiah Hyman Vangel, Norah, Kinsley, and Patrick Vangel all of Boston. Loving companion of Donald MacDonald of Florida. Also survived by her cousin James Marsh of FL and many nieces, nephews, extended family and loved ones.
A Funeral Service will be held in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Friday, February 16th from 11am - 12pm concluding with a service at noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
