Kara Moulter age 39 of Franklin, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, following a long illness. She is the beloved daughter of Charles and Mary (Giordano) Moulter of Franklin.
Kara is survived by her parents, her loving brother Adam and his wife Pepper (McCormick-Dekker), her most loved, sweet puppy, Brayleigh, her Aunt (partner-in-crime and second mom) Tammy (Giordano) McCarthy, cousins Patrick McCarthy, his wife Maria (Saia) and Katie McCarthy. She is also survived by ten additional Aunts and Uncles, thirteen additional cousins and their families, all of whom she adored. She is additionally survived by a huge extended family, her “anchor chain”, and countless friends around the world.
She was predeceased by her loving grandparents James and Michaelina (Anastasia) Giordano and Raymond and Christine (Piccolo) Moulter and Uncle Lawrence McCarthy.
Kara was a beacon of light, a dreamer of dreams, a lover of peace and a true child of the universe who always followed her passions. She was hysterically funny and her amazing wit was always evident.
She is a graduate of Mount St Charles Academy, the University of Hartford (BA in Psychology), the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC and Boston University (MS in Television Writing).
Her education, combined with her love of music, stage and writing, brought her to a career in musical theatre, television writing, directing, producing, screen writing and much more. Her work led her to live in NYC, Boston, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. She loved the adventure of following wherever the fates led her.
Kara was a big ball of imagination, determination, strength, spark, intelligence, talent, humor, laughter, love and luminosity all rolled into one very small person. She always lit up the room and the lives of all who loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Friday February 16th, from 9-10:30AM, her funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square Franklin will follow at 11AM.

Also, in lieu of black, because Kara was such a bright vibrant person, if you’d like, feel free to wear your favorite color, or her’s which is purple, to the service.
