William Brien Riley, age 60, passed away, February 3, 2024, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington from stage four kidney failure and stage two bladder cancer.
Bill was a kind and gentle soul who loved sports, traveling, food, dogs and relaxing while watching his favorite shows with his devoted Yorkie dog Romeo. Bill never had a bad word to say about anyone and was the most selfless person I have ever known. Opened doors for strangers and always would lend a helping hand.
Bill brought me to my first ever dog show which helped to shape the rest of my life. We loved showing dogs and traveled all over the New England area together. We married on October 13, 2001, but dated since our college years and remained together for 41 years. When Bill became disabled many years ago my mom and I continued to take care of him until my mom passed in 2018, which broke Bill's heart. He loved my mom just as much as I loved her.
Bill would often say to me "did I do good?" "Yes Bill, you did good, and I love you! You did great."
I am forever your love, and you are forever my love.
