CHANGE Of SERVICE: Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, February 14th, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Visiting will remain the same, Monday at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m.
Marion E. Cain, a longtime Woburn resident formerly of Somerville passed away peacefully February 7, 2024, following several years of declining health. She was 87. Marion was the beloved wife of the late George E. Cain, Jr. Born in Wilton, NH, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Delia (Flaherty) Emery.
Marion was raised and educated in Somerville. She settled in Woburn in 1976 and for the last couple of years resided at Country Club Heights. Marion worked for many years in various office positions beginning with John Hancock Insurance Co, Talbots, BayBank, Eagle Leasing and office managing for a few local Dentists. In her leisure time she loved working on puzzles, was a voracious reader and enjoyed playing Keno. However, her greatest joy was her family, and she especially cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always present in their lives supporting them in all their different activities.
Marion is survived by her devoted children, Mark Cain and his wife Mary of Woburn, Carolyn Wells and her husband Ernie of Woburn, Nancy Brosnan and her husband Patrick of Woburn, Susan Cain of North Andover, George Cain and his wife Diane of Woburn. She was the adoring and loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marion's memory to the Woburn Senior Center, 144 School St., Woburn, MA, 01801.
