Lillian Mozelle "Pig" Williford Evans, 80, of Norman Park passed away Monday, October 4, 2004, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Silas Carber, the Rev. Ken Westmoreland and the Rev. Weldon Alligood officiating. Mrs. Evans was laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton.
Mrs. Evans' nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Evans' grandsons, Jamie Cox, Evan Cox, Westin Westmoreland and Waylon Westmoreland.
Born May 5, 1924, in Columbus, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late James Walker Williford and Irma Register Williford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harding Evans, who passed away in 1981; and two brothers, Emory Williford and Curtis Williford. Before retiring, she was a school food service assistant; and she was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton. She had lived in Norman Park for 60 years.
Mrs. Evans is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan "Sharlene and Kenneth Westmoreland of Summerville; three brothers, James "Buck" Williford of Tifton, John Williford of Coos Bay, Oregon and William "Bill" Williford of Quitman; five sisters, Frances Williford, Deane Clement, Lucy Exum and Edna Wheeler, all of Quitman and Faye Busbin of Norman Park; and four grandsons, Jamie Cox and his wife Miranda, Evan Cox, Westin Westmoreland and Waylon Westmoreland.
