Violet L. (Pond) Matte, 75, of Billerica, passed away on Sunday, February 4 at Lowell General Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Robert Bowen, who survives her.
She was born in Lowell on October 31, 1948, a daughter of the late George Pond and the late Violet H. (Wentworth) Pond she was raised and educated in Lowell.
Violet worked with Comet Plastics in Chelmsford for over 25 years before her retirement. She loved shopping and was a happy go lucky person who never let anything bother her.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert Bowen of Lowell.
