Daniel Almeida Ferreira III, known by his loved ones as “DJ” or “Papa”, passed away peacefully at his home with family on February 4, 2024, passing at the age of 56 after a brief battle with cancer.
DJ, born to the late Daniel A. and Beryl E. Ferreira (Ford) January 28, 1968, preceded in death by his sister Kris-Anne Ferreira, and leaving behind loving family, His wife, Jeanne Adele Ferreira, his Children, Ashley-Rae Crowell, Alec Frederick Johnstone, Katlyn Quintal Ferreira, and his grandchildren Nathan A. DeSimone, Alexa-Rae DeSimone, and Joel A. DeSimone. He also leaves behind his loving Uncle, Paul Ford of Swansea and Aunt, Laurie Britto of Maine, and his brothers Paul Spooner and Joseph Sebastiao, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Working as a tow truck driver for most of his adult life, which he loved, he liked to go fishing, watching demolition derby’s, scrapping, hanging and talking with friends and family, and could always be found with a scratch ticket in hand.
He will be missed and mourned by his beloved family for years to come, leaving behind a loving and kind legacy for the rest of his tree to try and up stand.
Memorial Visitation to which relatives & friend are invited to will be held on Sunday February 18 from 4-7PM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River.
