Thomas P. (Tommy) Walsh, passed away suddenly at his Pembroke home, February 1st, at the age of 57.
Tom leaves behind his partner Don Isabel and their beloved dog Riley. He is survived by his dearly loved mother, Mary, and sisters Judy (Jay,) Pamela, and Sharon. Preceding Tom in death are his father, Kenneth, his sister, Ann, and his brother, Richard. Tom loved his nieces and nephews--Shellie, Jackie and Jaime, John and Cody; and, his great nieces and great nephew--Kaylie, Avah, Reagan and Johnny. Tom was also a proud godfather to Cassidy and Joseph. His sudden passing leaves a huge void in the hearts of Don, his mom and sisters, his cousins and extended family and many close friends.
Tom dedicated many years to his job at what is now Eastern Bank. As a hard worker running his branch, he won many awards and trips. He loved taking along his lucky family and friends to new and exciting destinations. Tom took great pleasure in travel: he was especially thrilled with his last “trip of a lifetime” to Ireland, where he made sure everything he ever wanted to see and do was done.
Tom’s life was marked by his unwavering kindness and support to so many family and friends, always doing whatever was needed for others. Uncle Tom to many, he was loving, thoughtful and endlessly funny. Shopping for that perfect gift for any holiday or occasion demonstrated his special brand of thoughtfulness. For anyone attending a wedding or special event, Tom was always around to guarantee that all were outfitted head to toe with his special tom touch. At those special occasions he was always the life of the party, that wonderful hilarious handsome guy dancing the night away.
Tom truly appreciated the simple things, running around his house, making and serving wonderful food and drinks, always making sure everyone was having the most fun he could gather together.
While he has left us too soon and too suddenly, his legacy of kindness, warmth and laughter will never ever leave us. Rest easy in peace, you will live on always and forever in the stories we share, the memories we have and the love you left behind.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Saturday, February 10th from 12:00-3:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
