Charles R. Harrington, 76, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was the husband of Colleen (Hogan) Harrington.
Mr. Harrington was born in Fall River, son of the late Raymond and Verna (Leach) Harrington and had resided in Westport for the last 49 years. A proud Hilltopper, he graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Fall River where he was also an athlete. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked as a fire safety officer for the State of MA. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Elks Clubs and an avid swimmer. He and his wife loved spending the winter months in Florida.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Kyle C. Harrington of MA; his daughter: Katey Mongillo and her husband Joseph of Ellington, CT; 4 grandchildren: Hannah K. Harrington, Haley K. Harrington, Reagan E. Mongillo and Liam Mongillo; and daughter-in-law: Kimberly Harrington.
He was the brother of the late Cynthia Neronha.
