Anthony Medeiros, 75, of Tiverton passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah A. (Dutra) Medeiros.
Mr. Medeiros was born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel and Melvina (Ferreira) Medeiros and had been a longtime resident of the Fall River and Tiverton areas. He had worked as a union painter for Local 1138, Roslindale, MA, was a foreman at the Plymouth nuclear power plant and then he worked as a steel painter for the MBTA until retiring. He was a former member of the King Philip Yacht Club and the Knights of Columbus, where he was a 4th degree Knight. He was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church, Tiverton. Mr. Medeiros enjoyed being out on the water and fishing but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors along with his wife include his late son: Robert J. Medeiros; 2 sons: Anthony Medeiros, Jr. and David Machado; 5 grandchildren: Anthony Medeiros III, Drew Medeiros, Gabriel Medeiros, Allyson Furtado and Tanya Furtado; 3 great grandchildren: Julianna Medeiros, Lucas Medeiros and Maria Medeiros 2 brothers: Richard Medeiros and Michael Medeiros; 4 sisters: Cynthia Cabral, Deborah Gagne, Sharon Benevides and Sandra Medeiros; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert J. Medeiros.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 9, 2024 at St. Theresa's Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
