Margaret F. Hoppe, age 84, of Brockton, died unexpectedly on February 1, 2024 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Scanlon) Puccetti.
Margaret was raised and educated in Charlestown and was a graduate of Archbishop Cushing Catholic High School in Charlestown. She was outgoing, always with a positive thought and opinion and was the rock of her family.
She enjoyed time with her family, working on word search puzzles, reading and cleaning. For many years she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Margaret is survived by her six children, George H. Hoppe of Brockton, Peggy LaRonde of Brockton, Kenny A. Hoppe and his wife Gina of Easton, Cheryl A. Kneeland and her husband Kenneth of Brockton, Janette M. Black and her husband James of East Bridgewater and Thomas M. Hoppe of Northport, FL. She was the grandmother of Jessica, Samantha, Robbie and his wife Emily, Larry, Gerard and his wife Jackie, Brittany, Joanna, Jennifer, Micheal and Whispha. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and was the sister of Theresa Donovan of Norton and Mary Indelicato of Salem.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, on Thursday, February 8, from 9-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
