Ronald P. Abraham, 86, passed away on February 3 in Worcester, MA after a long illness.
Ronald was born in Worcester and was a life-long resident. He was the son of the late Salim A. and Annie R. (Abraham) Abraham. He was educated in the Worcester school system and had a successful career in accounting where he served as controller at Green Brothers for many years. He also formed his own tax and accounting business.
Ronald was a devout Byzantine Melkite Catholic who was a life-long member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and served at one time as its Treasurer. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and also followed the Celtics and Holy Cross College athletics. He was also a long-time Class A men’s softball coach and score keeper. He belonged to the Knight’s of Columbus, OLPH Men’s Club, and the Worcester YMCA.
Always known as a loving uncle who took care of his family, Ronald is survived by his brother Richard J. Abraham Sr. along with several nephews and a niece. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Arthur and Robert (Yogi) Abraham, his sisters, Gloria Mooradian and her husband Anthony, and sister Aileen, as well as his sister-in-law, Deanna Abraham.
Calling hours for relatives and friends will be on Wednesday, February 7th from 9:30am – 11:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton St. in Worcester, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am.
