Evard R. Dixon, Sr., age 87, of Tewksbury, passed away at the Blaire House of Tewksbury on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Born in Brockton on December 21, 1936, he was the son of the late Edward R. Dixon and the late Elizabeth (Brown) Dixon.
As a resident of Tewksbury for 78 years, he was very popular in his youth and a star football player for T.M.H.S. He owned a janitorial service and provided building maintenance for several area companies.
Survivors include sons, Evard R. Dixon Jr. and his wife Antonia (Toni), Kevin M. Dixon, David L. Dixon, and Dana E. Dixon as well as his daughters, Denise J. Newton and Dawn M. Blanchard. He was the brother of E. Roberta Dixon, J. Patricia Dixon, Delores L. Dixon and her late husband James Scales, Dorothy R. Dixon, Linda A. “Dearie” Woods, Marie L. (Dixon) Christien and her husband Charles, Mary E. Calobrisi-Ross and her husband Darren. He leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service to be held on Wednesday, February 7th at 11 a.m. at the Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
