Helen Marie Duckworth, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her residence.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Duckworth was born January 15, 1952, in Lafayette, Georgia. She drove a school bus and worked as a machine operator for Shaw Industries. She moved to Fitzgerald in October last year to be near her granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Misty Zamora of Rossville; grandchildren: Courtney & Austin Guy and Andrew Cortez, all of Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren: Melanie Duckworth, Grayson Snipes, and Bentley Guy; a brother, Roland Smith of Lafayette and a sister, Diane Smith of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Duckworth.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
