Concetta M. “Tina” Lanctot, 92, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Friday February 2, 2024 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Tina was born December 25, 1931 in Malden, MA and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Serafina (D’Alleva) Galante. Tina was raised in Everett, MA and was a graduate of Everett High School class of 1949. Tina was a resident of Londonderry for the past 25 years.
Tina was an excellent secretary and worked for the Everett School Department prior to getting married and raising her children. She was a longtime communicant of St Therese's Parish in Everett where she taught Sunday School and was a member of Lady Sodality. In later years it was St. Jude Parish in Londonderry where she met many new friends and enjoyed being part of a wonderful group called the St Jude Seniors where she would take minutes of the meetings. Prior to retiring in 1992, Tina was a Sales Assistant with Dean Whitter/Morgan Stanley for 18 years.
Tina and Ernie were inseparable over their 65 years together. They enjoyed many years of camping with family and friends. Tina loved to watch the Red Sox and often reminisced about going to Fenway park as a young woman with her girlfriend to watch them play. Tina also enjoyed traveling, going to movies, and playing cards and board games with friends. Tina's cooking was enjoyed by all throughout her life. Her family's favorite was Eggplant Parmesan. Tina had many friends at the Londonderry Senior Center. Tina's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and whose face would light up every time she would see them.
She is survived by her daughters Denise McEvoy and her husband Charles, Maureen Evangelou and her partner Gene Stilwell, three grandchildren, Olivia McEvoy, Karyn McEvoy, and Derek Evangelou, and sister Anita Bellamy as well as nieces and nephews. Tina was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years Ernest G Lanctot and sister Anna D’Angelo.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday February 8, 2024 from 9 to 10:30 am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry and conclude with entombment in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Road in Manchester. The Lanctot family would like to express a thank you to the caretakers at The Courville Nursing Home in Manchester that took such loving care of Tina this past year as well as The All American Assisted Living in Londonderry where she resided for 5 years prior.
