SANFORD- Beverly Jean Jollotta, 86, of Sanford, Maine passed away January 31, 2024 with her family that she loved so dearly, and who loved her just as much, by her side.
She was born March 23, 1937 in Eastport, Maine to Laura E. (Keezer) Kierstead. Beverly was well loved and cared for by her grandparents, Clytie and Benjamin Keezer.
She was a 1955 graduate of Shead Memorial High School in Eastport. She shared many fond memories of her time in high school and the friends she had there. It was in high school where she met the love of her life, Paul E. Jollotta. The two married on June 9, 1956 and began their life together in Eastport before eventually moving to Sanford.
During her working life, Beverly was employed as a CNA, first at Goodall Hospital in Sanford and later at Main Stay Nursing Home. She was a thoughtful, caring, and compassionate caregiver who valued the people in her care. When her husband became ill in 1989, she left her work life to care for him until his death in 1995.
The people she valued most were always her family. She had a strong family value and spent her lifetime putting others first. Despite her shy, quiet demeanor, her home was always the gathering place. When family arrived unexpectedly she made room at the table and put an extra potato in the pot. Beverly was regarded as the kindest person people knew.
She is survived by her children: Kevin Jollotta and wife Linda of Seabrook New Hampshire; Wayne Jollotta and wife Theresa of Sanford, Maine; Michael Jollotta and wife Kelly of Sanford, Maine; Carol Jollotta and wife Hannah of Waterville, Maine. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great granddaughter.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her home hospice nurse, Julie Gilbert., and to the warm, attentive staff of the Gosnell House.
