It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Dee Swan, Saturday, January 27, 2024 with family by her bedside.
Born November 16, 1935 to Lillian and Thomas Grunert in Greenwich, CT, she attended Greenwich Schools. Surviving are her husband William F. Swan, married over 71 years and their three daughters, Cynthia Lage (Mike), Amy Swan, Pamela Goller (Steve), and 8 grandchildren, Andrew Gonzales, David Lage and Jason Lage, Josh Plouffe, Will Plouffe, Jamie Plouffe, Lindsey Goller and Kathleen Goller. Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Mollica (Ron) of Shelton, CT and 8 great grandchildren.
Dee retired in 1992 from the Town of Greenwich after 20 years at the Board of Ed and 5 years as the Office Supervisor at the Greenwich Police Department.
Bill and Dee enjoyed living at Heritage Hills, Somers, NY playing golf and traveling with many good friends and spending winters in Venice, FL.
They moved to Bishops Cove, Stonington, CT to be closer to their family in 2014 and retired to StoneRidge in Mystic, CT in 2021. Dee enjoyed her time with the many friends she made at StoneRidge.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 10th at StoneRidge, 186 Jerry Browne Road, Mystic.
