Reina Lisset Ortiz (70) of Brockton died January 27th in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
Reina Ortiz, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Reina touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Ismael Ortiz and Angelita Ortiz. Reina enjoyed spending time with family, a strong believer in Christ and was known for helping others in need. A passionate soul, Reina found joy in the vibrant rhythms of salsa music. Her spirit shined brightly whenever she danced, and her love for music brought joy to all those around her. Reina's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was a pillar of strength and an endless source of love and support for them.
Reina is survived by her son Armando Espada of Taunton, her daughter Licelys A. Yarrell and husband Rahshad of Brockton, (mother of the late Aracelis Ortiz), 2 sisters, Zaida Ortiz of Brockton and Dharma Ortiz of Puerto Rico, 5 grandchildren, Olivia, Jiramiah, Seth, Zen and Rayvon, many nieces and nephews.
Reina's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on the world. May her spirit of love and compassion continue to inspire us all.
