Mark Stephen Chubbs, age 64, of Medford passed away on Monday, January 29th, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. A lifelong Medford resident, he was the son of Mary (Demasi) Chubbs and the late Charles Chubbs. Mark worked for over 40 years as a Boilermaker and was very active with his union; Local 29. He was a die-hard Boston sports fan. Mark had so many friends and was loved by all. He knew everyone and everyone knew, and loved, him. Since retiring two years ago, Mark loved to play golf, but he was happiest by far when spending time with his adoring grandchildren.
Mark was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Semenuk) Chubbs, and the devoted father of Ashley Thompson and her husband Zack, Mark P. Chubbs, all of Medford, and Bryan Chubbs and his wife Abby of Southborough. He was the loving grandfather of Jack, Luca and Asher Thompson. Mark was the dear brother of Michael Chubbs and his wife Joan of Marshfield, and the late Michele Chubbs. He was the cherished uncle of Michael, Jodi and Jason, and the late Damon Burns.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with family on Thursday, February 8th, from 4 through 7 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again at 10 AM on Friday, February 9th, followed by a memorial mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
