Mamie Belflower Arrington, 96, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Edsel Young and the Rev. Silas Carver officiating. Mrs. Arrington was laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton.
Mrs. Arrington's grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born September 22, 1907, in Tift County, Mrs. Arrington was the daughter of the late Earl Belflower and Georgia Evelyn Belflower. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Arrington; one daughter; two sons; four sisters; and three brothers. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Arrington is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and N.C. Spradley and Mary Lois Cruce, all of Tifton, Christine Hutchinson of Cartersville and Joann and John Barge of Cuthbert; twenty-ine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
