Obituary

Royce S. "Bo" Alexander, 72, of Atlanta passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Southern Regional Medical Cetner in Atlanta. His funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. M. C. Powell officiating. Mr. Alexander was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Marty Alexander, Ray Flowers, Andrea Flowers, Denzil Harrell, Donny Harrell, Rodney Harrell and Roy Kitchens served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Harrell, Jay Harrell, Darrell Alexander, Alvin Powell, Dale Powell, Wayne Powell, Darrell Powell, Hal Ivey, Gary Harris and Clay Harris.

Born December 27, 1931, in Berrien County, Mr. Alexander was the son of the late John Alexander and Lodie Belflower Alexander. He was also preceded in death by one grandson. Before retiring, he worked on the assembly line at General Motors. H was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict; and he was a member of Second Baptist Church in Forest Park.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Rosaline Powell Alexander of Atlanta; one son, Marty Alexander; one daughter, Kay Alexander Flowers of Atlanta; one brother, Jake Alexander of Tifton; three sisters, Reba Moncus of Leesburg, Edna Shell of Duluth and Burnice Harrell of Lithonia; and three grandchildren, Kerri Flowers and Audria Flowers, both of Athens and Angie Alexander of Albany.
